My name is Paola Napolitano. I am a movement practitioner, manual therapist and water lover.
I started to dance at a young age, then pursued my dance career in Italy, Switzerland and UK, performing in theatres, movies, and various companies.
While freelancing, I got fascinated by a new concept to me of lookig at the body as 'soma'. In 2015 I joined a Laban/Bartenieff certifying programme in Edinburgh, Scotland, run by Laura Cox and Karen Studd. I graduated in 2018 as Certified Movement Analyst from the LIMS® of New York.
Soon after, my keen passion to study the body in depth, took me to undertake various courses of massage, delving into detailed anatomy, physiology and pathology. In UK I gained different qualifications such as Level 3 Holistic Massage Therapist and Level 5 Sports Massage and Remedial Soft Tissue Massage. In Switzerland, I am a RME recognized therapist in classic, lymphatic drainage and foot reflexology (Methode 33 in autumn 2025).
In 2022 I obtained an MA Degree with Distinction in Professional Practice, Somatic Studies from the Middlesex University in London, discussing my final qualitative research project on 'Body Knowledge'.
Since 2018, I have blended my knowledge in movement, somatics, and massage techniques to best support clients with their health and in their recovery from injuries, chronic conditions, and various musculoskeletal dysfunctions.
I have worked in educational, community settings and dance studios as somatic movement facilitator with individuals and groups at different learning levels.
I am a member of WABA and a Watsu® Practioner, offering one-to-one sessions in Switzerland, in Ticino and Canton Zürich.
I am currently training in craniosacral therapy at the Upledger Institute Switzerland, expecting to graduate by 2027.
My desire of supporting people's and communities' physical, mental, and self expressive wellbeing, has led me to envision Movivendi and Tamasa Rei, two streams of services which involve movement education and therapy respectively, aka moVITam.
